20 weeks

I can hardly believe that I have already reached 20 weeks. It is crazy for me to think that we have already reached the half-way mark! We are looking forward to our ultrasound this Thursday when we will (hopefully) find out if baby Menne is a girl or a boy! We are planning to have a party to share the news with friends and family on Saturday which we are really looking forward to. Here's a quick update on how things are going this week......

How Far Along: 20 Weeks

Size of baby: Banana Baby! For those of you that don't know, Trevor and I get email updates each week about the baby's development and it always includes a reference to the size of the baby compared to some sort of food. It's funny to hear Trev say, "Did you see what the baby is this week?" or get a text from him exclaiming "Banana Baby!" My best friends still refer to the baby as "Rice Baby" which may end up being a nickname for life.........

Gender: We find out in two days and I can't wait!

Movement: I started feeling the baby move a few weeks ago although I still question it every time I feel it. It seems like I feel it move the most in the evenings. I though that I would feel weird about feeing something move inside of me but I've found that I really it and each time I feel a little flutter I feel so happy.

What I miss: Nothing

Cravings: Fruit and Mike & Ike's

Pregnancy Symptoms: I'm starting to have more and more heartburn and can pretty much count on a backache by the end of the day

Best Moment this week: Thinking about seeing the baby on Thursday....we are so excited!!!

Well it's about time.......

I think the title of this first post sums up things pretty well. I have been meaning to sit down and start a blog to document our pregnancy for weeks now but I just kept finding other things to fill my time and never got around to it. The title also seems fitting considering it has been 3 years since Trevor and I first decided that we wanted to start a family so being able to start a blog to document our pregnancy seems like it has been a long time coming! We are just over 18 weeks along and so far I have honestly enjoyed every minute of being pregnant (well there have been a few melt downs along the way but I have enjoyed it even through the tears....) We are so excited to be blessed with this wonderful wonderful gift and excited to share it with the people that we love through this blog!
